With the lighting you had, you'll need a tripod if you're going to shoot at iso 100. a few things you can do for low light shots: 1) use a tripod & slower shutter speed, 2) shoot at a larger aperture, 3) shoot at a higher iso. with P&S cameras, the easiest thing to do is the first one and use a tripod.
